These really are not-to-be-missed advanced motorcycle tours, riding some of the UK’s most outstanding biker-friendly roads set amongst spectacular scenery whilst at the same receiving coaching focused on helping you attain the coveted status of an advanced rider.
Please note: your SkilledBiker coach will not also examine you – we have a strict policy of ensuring your test is conducted by an independent member of the Skilledbiker team.

To maximise the time you are out on the road receiving coaching, we start your advanced rider journey well before the tour starts with an online theory session that is designed to equip you with knowledge of all the key elements of Motorcycle RoadCraft.
On our first day proper we venture northwards through the stunning Peak District & across Yorkshire, acquainting ourselves as a group and settling into the rhythm of riding as a collective which gives you the chance of enjoying all that comes before us in the form of technical sections of road as well as fast, open sweepers that are simply a joy to ride.
Arriving in the town of Moffat we check into the renowned Buccleuch Arms which is our base for the duration of the tour and from where we will be able to relax, unwind and socialise with some truly exceptional hospitality after our time spent out on the road each day.
We are fortunate to have had the hotels owners adapt routes for us that will not only serve up thrill after thrill but in addition, provide the opportunity to witness first-hand the glorious sight of Golden Eagles flying free in the wild after their reintroduction to the area.
On our second and third day we are divided into 2 smaller groups of 3 riders being led by a tour coach. This allows intense and fully personalised coaching to take place and whilst one group heads out on a route to the west, the other will take a route towards the east, changing over the following day to ride the route taken by the others previously.
Day 4 is our allocated test day with your SkilledBiker coach examining the group they have not coached so as to ensure fairness and transparency of decision making. Our timetable usually allows for all tests to have been conducted by late morning, leaving the remainder of our final day free to enjoy an incredible circular route as the original collective group.
During our stay we will be treated to a presentation by the South of Scotland Golden Eagle Project as well as a whisky tasting evening hosted by a local Scottish Borders distillery. Both events are included in your tour package price.
On the morning of Day 5 we have capacity to conduct any outstanding rider tests, after which we say our goodbyes and travel onwards on our individual journeys.
Price includes bed & breakfast on a single-occupancy basis.
Fuel, breakdown cover and PPE is the responsibility of each individual rider and is not part of the tour package offered.
