About BikeSafe

BikeSafe is available via most UK Police Forces and is aimed at improving motorcycle riding skills, whilst reducing the number of motorcycle casualties. Through workshops and observed rides, BikeSafe participants have the opportunity to uncover their own riding weaknesses, whilst learning how to improve their motorcycle riding skills.

The purpose of this initiative is to empower riders to embrace the value of ongoing motorcycle training, whilst generally addressing a number of attitudes and riding behaviours that seem still to be at the route of unacceptable motorcycle accident statistics. Organisers acknowledge the importance of post-test motorcycle training, whilst serving as a good stepping-stone to advanced training with IAM RoadSmart, the Royal Society for Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), the British Motorcycle Federation (BMF) and the DVSA Enhanced Rider Scheme (ERS).
